I started Pink Elephant in 2000, painting houses around Peabody. For years that was the whole business: walls, ceilings, trim, and whatever a homeowner needed to make a room feel new again. Most of the work came from neighbors telling neighbors, and that part has not changed.

What changed is what people started asking for. Customers kept pointing at the garage floor, or the basement slab, and asking if we could do something about it. I said yes a few times before I understood that coatings are not painting with a different product. They are their own trade, with their own preparation, their own failure modes and their own equipment. So instead of treating floors as a side job, we built a second crew for them, trained on concrete and nothing else.

Today we run both. The coatings crew grinds, tests and seals concrete. The painting crew works inside your home and cleans up every night. They are different people with different training, and that is the point. What they share is a clear scope, care for your property, and the phone number you call, which still reaches me.
